The Department of Public Works' Call Center began operations
in November 1998. It is a "one-stop-shop" for citizens requesting
services or seeking information either over the telephone,

or through the Internet. By calling a central number, citizens can
talk to customer service representatives who process requests for
services, provide information and respond to citizen complaints
for sanitation, forestry, street maintenance, street lighting, sewer
maintenance, traffic signs and traffic signals.
